Bruce works here now

with Anthony Colangelo, Yesenia Perez-Cruz, Joe Rinaldi

Show notes

We finally introduce Bruce properly. He’s the Pine Works agent, avatar of a certain Freehold, New Jersey singer-songwriter who moonlights as a park ranger, and he manages everything we were bad at keeping up with: the Notion updates, the Pipedrive fields, the notes from every call. Joe rates him 85 to 90% as good as doing it himself, in a fraction of the time, which frees Joe up to be special Joe.

We get into what Bruce actually is (an OpenClaw install on a small server, living alongside the studio site he manages), why our CRM makes people the main character instead of deals or spreadsheets, and the approval loop Joe still runs before any data changes: green light, red light. Somewhere in there Bruce observed that “people are always in scope.” He came up with that himself. We’re keeping it.

Also in here: Joe’s relationship games with Bruce (start, bench, or cut), what all this costs to run, talking to your wrist in the car, Yesenia on friction logs and the doorway effect, and why the site you’re reading has no CMS. Agents publish it. Including this episode, which Ryan queued up on air.
